Secretary Rubio spoke today with Kazakh Minister of Foreign Affairs Yermek Kosherbayev. The two officials discussed the importance of energy security, including the reliable and uninterrupted export of Kazakhstan-origin oil via the Caspian Pipeline Consortium, for regional stability and prosperity. The Secretary expressed his appreciation for Kazakhstan’s strong support for President Trump’s peace initiatives, and his interest in deepening bilateral economic cooperation.
